Our Story

With our proud roots in the cold and rugged seas of our Viking forefathers, Biz AS has been able to utilize generations worth of experience. This experience comes from the largest renewable industry in Norway, namely the seafood industry. This has now developed into what has now become an international business conglomerate.

Biz AS is a proud member of the NCE Blue Legasea cluster. We are involved in everything from trawling after shrimp and crayfish, to various research and development projects on how to utilize more of the available raw-resources, and hence increase profitability.  Our recent projects have been focused on how to transform the by-catch from the trawling industry, into new forms of high value protein sources for both human consumption, as well as for start feed for the aquaculture industry.

Our flagship commercialization projects span from sea cucumbers, white shrimp to various species of fish.

From our vast international network of decision makers, spanning from major Norwegian MP’s, to various Ambassadors to the former head of FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United​Nations), we at Biz have positioned ourselves at the forefront of all aspects of international decision-making.

This is due to our broad business network, including some of the world’s leading tech developers, to ​ many of the biggest sustainable seafood producers in all of Europe It is with great humility, and thanks to our incredible partners, that we at Biz AS now have been able to position ourselves in various key markets.

Together with our ever-growing network of partners, we are now preparing to scale into new countries and regions.

Tobias Rosendal Bech is on a daily basis an active decision-maker who has been in the Seafood industry for over 6 years, he has expertise with everything from fishing to lipfish, to now running two companies in the seafood industry. Tobias sits in a number of key positions in various NGOs. Amongst other things as a member of the Executive Committee in charge of the food committee of the environmental organization Spire. He has built up a large network of decision-makers in the seafood industry.

Eksath de Silva has previously worked for SINTEF Tel-Tek within industry and research. Previous roles have been in administration and IT, both project management as well as day-to-day operations and management of all IT for the department in Porsgrunn. His versatile experience within research and development will be decisive for the structure and implementation of the projects, as he has many years of experience in this field.
