White shrimp.
In Greek Mythology, Poseidon is the God of the sea, and according to old folk tales, Poseidon Shrimps were cursed by Poseidon himself to spend eternity at the bottom of the ocean to never see the sunlight. A native eco-friendly cold-water white shrimp species. Poseidon shrimp are prized for their handy size, their tender texture, and their mild flavor. They are great for many preparations where they can be soaked in the flavors of the main dish and not only their texture stands out, maybe the most important aspect of this species is its healthy benefit to the body.
With regard to taste aside, the Poseidon shrimp has an unusual appearance. It has two pepper-black eyes fused together and many long, pink whiskers sticking out from where its nose should be. However, the biggest puzzle is how it can even walk with its tail sticking up under its nose in that manner. The shrimp, though, is nimble. You read that right—it can swim both forward and backward. It may either gallop away by stretching out its little feet under its tail or it can move backward by flicking its tail. These abilities enable the shrimp to climb and descend the water column, which it does at night to consume zooplankton and act as a diligent sea cleanser. This makes the shrimp, which has an alien-like appearance, a beneficial and highly desired animal in practically every ocean ecosystem.
